In the shadow of Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel stands IHM School. Nestled in the scenic village of Still River in the town of Harvard, Massachusetts, the school is surrounded by small farms and apple orchards. The Oxbow Preservation, and the historical Fruitlands Museum, where Louisa May Alcott lived, for a short time add charm to the neighborhood.
IHM was started in 1976 and over the years has grown, requiring an addition to the building to accommodate the present enrollment. Although still somewhat small by comparison, the school is comprised of grades 1 through 12 with a capacity for 135 students.
The faculty of Religious Sisters, Brothers, and lay teachers, work together with parents for the education and formation of the youth entrusted to them. Here, education is viewed in regard to the whole person, mind, body, and especially soul.
