The 2010 Commencement Exercises of IHM School took place on Sunday, June13.

The well attended ceremony was held under a tent large enough to accommodate the crowd, on the chapel/school grounds. The graduates walked up the center aisle as IHM Band played a glorious rendition of the traditional "Pomp and Circumstance." The ceremony opened with a prayer immediately followed by the inspiring speeches of the Valedictorian and the Salutatorian who, ironically, were twin brothers!

We were honored to have Mr. Ralph Celidonio, from Philadelphia, as the Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2010. With a list of credentials, Ralph was a high school teacher in an all-boys school for over 40 years. He is also a great devotee of Our Lady and promotes True Devotion all over the east coast. Mr. Celidonio gave a riveting address focusing on "Commitment" and the important place it will play in the future lives of the graduates.

Following the Commencement Speaker, the Men's Coordinator of the Third Order of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary presented each of the graduates with a copy of "The Manual for Total Consecration"…encouraging them to consecrate themselves to Our Lady in order to face the unknown which lies ahead with true courage.

Finally, the climax of the ceremony was reached, and the long-awaited diplomas were awarded to the eight graduates by Brother Thomas Augustine, MICM.

Family and friends stayed for some time, offering congratulations to the Class of 2010 as they celebrated with them, enjoying the graduation cake made by the Sisters.

God bless the Class of 2010!
